Product Overview

This is a complete vintage Type 95 police winter uniform set, manufactured by Changchun 9101 Garment Factory. The Type 95 upgrade was implemented in July 1995 on the basis of Type 89 uniform, shifting police rank insignia from collar tabs to shoulder boards, and remained in use nationwide until the rollout of Type 99 uniform. Within the 95 police ranking system, Grade 1 Superintendent belongs to the senior tier of the superintendent rank group. This set represents the standard winter duty uniform for frontline public security officers of that era. Constructed from thick olive police wool gabardine, the complete set retains the solemn, formal official styling of Chinese police forces in the 1990s. Suitable for vintage police uniform collection, police history exhibition, period film props and documentary shooting.

The jacket adopts Type 95 standard lapel cut, front placket fastened with original gilt shield five-pointed star metal buttons, two buttoned flap chest pockets and two side hip pockets. The whole garment features full lining. The inner pocket printed factory stamp clearly marks production cycle: January 1996 – December 1997, size specification: Size 2 Type 4, preserving complete original factory production records.

Matching trousers are made of identical original wool gabardine fabric with unified colour and texture, tailored in standard straight police cut with full belt loops and side storage pockets, forming a matched full uniform set with the jacket. The supporting winter earflap cap is genuine vintage police specification, constructed with dark purple plush fur ear flaps and thick fabric cap body, fitted with original national police badge.

The full matching insignia set includes original Grade 1 Superintendent shoulder boards, blue plastic police number badge and one embroidered public security armband. The blue plastic police number badge features dark blue base with silver serial numbers, the standard chest identification of Type 95 uniform. The shield-shaped embroidered public security armband adopts classic 95-style layout, printed with “People’s Republic of China”, “Public Security”, POLICE lettering, Great Wall and olive branch motifs, fixed to the left sleeve. All fabric texture, shield star button molds, pocket layout, inner lining specification and factory stamp details comply with the original Type 95 police winter uniform production standard, retaining genuine factory tailoring and unique era characteristics of China’s public security system.
