This is a meticulously crafted reproduction of the Republic of China Type 35 (1946 pattern) Air Force officer's summer service uniform set reproduced from the uniform worn by the character Zhou Zhirou in the television drama Silent Glory. Featuring the classic khaki-tan color scheme and distinctive post-WWII Chinese Air Force insignia, this lightweight summer uniform faithfully recreates the elegant and dignified appearance of mid-20th century Chinese Air Force officer summer attire. Ideal for historical collections, costume styling, theatrical productions, photography, and film and television productions requiring authentic 1940s Chinese Air Force aesthetics.

The Type 35 uniform system was introduced in 1946 by the Republic of China Air Force, representing a post-war standardization of military attire following the conclusion of the Second Sino-Japanese War. The khaki lightweight summer service dress became the standard summer officer uniform for the Chinese Air Force during this period, characterized by its standing collar design, golden collar insignia, and Air Force wing badge. This summer tunic follows the visual style of the Type 35 Air Force officer summer uniform, developed from available historical references, period photographs, and surviving original examples, with reference to the costume design seen in the television production.

When reproducing the collar insignia, we adopted the historical standard Air Force collar insignia pattern, rather than directly reproducing the unique collar insignia worn by Zhou Zhirou himself.

The summer tunic is constructed from premium lightweight cotton-blend fabric in a classic khaki-tan shade, chosen for its authentic period appearance, excellent breathability, lightweight texture and structured drape suitable for summer wear. The standing collar features standard Air Force collar insignia — golden propeller-with-wings emblems on both sides. The front is fastened by five gilt brass buttons, each bearing the Nationalist sun emblem. Both shoulders are fitted with gilt shoulder boards bearing rank insignia, and the left chest displays the pilot wing badge with the central sun emblem flanked by golden wings.

Structurally, the summer tunic features two button-fastened flap pockets at the chest and two matching flap pockets at the waist, following the classic Type 35 summer uniform configuration. The interior is fully lined with thin breathable lining for comfort and stable shape. All proportions, insignia placement, button details and pocket configurations have been carefully researched to match the historical Type 35 Air Force summer uniform specification.
