This is a premium reproduction of the Type 55 Navy winter junior officer uniform. Meticulously developed based on 1955 PLA Navy uniform archives and original period specimens, every detail — from herringbone fabric to rank insignia — has been faithfully recreated to capture the classic appearance of naval officers during the Type 55 rank system era.

The tunic is crafted from navy blue herringbone cotton fabric with clear texture and substantial weight — the standard fabric for Navy winter uniforms of that era. Classic stand collar design with five brown round buttons running vertically down the front placket, each decorated with a five-pointed star motif, showcasing fine craftsmanship. Dual chest pockets with pointed flap closures, plus two lower pockets — the four-pocket layout is the signature feature of winter service dress, combining practicality with formal aesthetic appeal.

Collar tabs feature a black ground with white border, with a gold navy anchor emblem sewn at the center — the standard specification for Type 55 naval officer collar tabs, simple and dignified with distinct naval character.

Shoulder boards have a gold ground with silver five-pointed stars, arranged according to junior officer rank specifications. The boards are well-structured with fine embroidery, fully recreating the rank insignia standards for Navy junior officers in the Type 55 rank system.

The matching Navy peaked service cap is made from the same navy blue fabric as the tunic, with a structured and full-bodied shape. Thin white piping runs along the top of the cap band, outlining a distinct service profile — the signature design of naval officer peaked caps.

Black leather visor with gold-toned adjustment buckle showcases fine craftsmanship. The cap badge is a golden "August 1" red star — the standard service cap badge unified across all services in the Type 55 system, dignified and striking, fully recreating the formal dress image of naval officers of that period.

The matching navy blue herringbone service trousers are made from the same fabric as the tunic for complete consistency in color and texture. With a straight, clean cut and neatly stitched side seams, they conform to the service specifications of Navy officer winter uniforms of the period.

Side and back pockets offer practical convenience; belt loops are provided at the waistband for use with a service belt. The overall cut is comfortable and well-fitted, combining the dignity of an officer uniform with the practicality of winter wear.

Full bespoke tailoring is available. Provide your detailed measurements — height, chest, waist, shoulder width, head circumference and more — and we will pattern-make individually to ensure a perfect fit. Rank level (various junior officer grades) can also be customized upon request.
